OUR STORY

We are a group of Tamil language enthusiasts from the Tamil diaspora. We speak multiple languages and love all languages, yet Tamil holds a special place in our hearts!

Just like you we are heart broken to see this amazing language gradually disappear from our daily use. Many blame the new generation and the diaspora, but we don't!

We believe everything has to have a need to survive! In this modern world our needs and priorities have changed. Many are not even exposed to Tamil language. Without the 'need', this rich language will be overwritten and disappear. Hence we launched our first step in cultivating 'need' by creating exposure to this beautiful language. We design Tamil inspired products available to the wider multi-cultural global community.

Our brand is uniquely Tamil but we cater to everyone who likes trendy and meaningful designs. Our offerings cover a wide range, from ancient literature and proverbs to latest Tamil quotes. Tamil has evolved over thousands of years and spoken in a variety of dialects around the world. We would like to showcase all these differences in our products as we expand!

The name ISAIKO is a pure Tamil word that combines ISAI (Music) and KO (a complex word with multiple meanings, generally describes ultimate leadership). Tamil is organized into three main categories IYAL (Literature), ISAI (Music) and NAADAGAM (Play or Drama). We selected ISAI because Music brings people together and we would like to unite Tamil speakers and non-Tamil speakers globally and lead them to appreciate this beautiful language.

Welcome to the new part of our journey! It is our mission to rebrand Tamil for the sustainability of our language. In doing so, we will inspire Tamil speakers and non-Tamil speakers from various age groups to build a new global community under the banner 'Tamil is Trendy'!

Tamil language sustainability relies greatly on the real connection with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Hence we are here to make an ancient language relatable to this modern society. This language has survived thousands of years and evolved with time, in the way it is spoken and written. The Tamil scripts used today have transformed from its original form called Brahmi scripts and our goal is also to highlight this ancient script in our designs.

We are part of a global community and that means contributing to positive change! Our responsibility is to ensure we have a positive impact on people and the Tamil language at every step of ISAIKO journey. We will be donating 5% of our profit annually to Tamil education, Tamil archaeological endeavors and Tamil language enlightenment programs around the world!
